Uttarakhand Villages

Uttarakhand is such a wonderful place of myth & mountains. Hindus consider it as Dev Bhoomi or simply the Land of Gods and the dramatic terrain is capped with holy peaks, lakes & rivers. Hairpin roads and high-altitude hiking levels lead to beautiful pilgrimage sites where tales from Hindu epics are wrote. Though the presence of Shiva & Parvati tower over the state, the imprint of the British is proportionally apparent: the legend of Jim Corbett resides on in the popular tiger reserve that has his name; popular holiday towns were sometimes Raj-era hill stations; and the Beatles become Rishikesh into a magnet for spiritual finders and yoga users globally.

Uttarakhand might look like a silver medallist: it’s the province with the 2nd-highest tiger population following Karnataka and has India’s second-highest peak called Nanda Devi; but its diversity of activities and sheer wonderful beauty are clean travellers’ gold.
