In Jharkhand, a group of unknown people attacked a cleric who came to read Namaz. According to the police, the incident occurred under the city police station Ranchi. The victim’s colleagues have filed a complaint against nearly a dozen people and have alleged that they were beaten with rods and rods. He was asked to name the Hindu deity. When he refused to do so, he was allegedly beaten up.
Police say that they have registered a case of attempt to kill them against unknown people, but the allegations have not been proved yet. According to the FIR, 50-year-old Azhar-ul-Islam, who lives in Dhruva’s new road, went to Agu village to read Namaz. He and his companion Imran were returning back from motorcycle late in the night. Only then, the alleged attackers stopped them at the Dallali Chowk. According to the complaint, there was a debate between him and the attackers to get the name of Hindu deity . After which he was allegedly beaten up. Imran escaped from there and sought police help.
The city’s officer-in-charge Ram Narayan Singh said, according to the complaint, a group asked Azhar to call a religious slogan. After which the two started to debate and then the group beat him. The injured was taken to the hospital. She is out of danger now. Singh says that a case of attempt to kill life has been registered. There is no credentials yet for the victim to be beaten because of not taking the name of a particular deity. On this case, DSP (Headquarters) Vijay Kumar Singh said, “We are trying to identify the suspects.”
