Tamilnadu State Weather Cyclone and Rain Updates:
The Indian Meteorological Department IMD, Governement of India provides the live updates on the cyclone at various cities across the states of India.

Recently Cyclone name Roanu occurred in the Bay of Bengal region and the India Meteorological Department IMD had reported the deep depression of cyclone before it crossed the coast of Tamil Nadu near Puducherry.
The state of Tamil Nadu had recently issued a cyclone alert following a deep depression in Bay of Bengal as reported by the Metrology Department and also mentioned about the heavy rainfall to occur in the Tamil Nadu state.
The Anna University Controller of Examinations had announced that the all the UG/PG exams of University Departments scheduled on 12th, 13th and 14th November 2015 had been Rescheduled on 2nd, 3rd and 4th December 2015 due to the heavy rain.
Many Schools and Colleges had also announced holiday due to heavy rain and the examinations are postponed to another day.
Recently the Chennai city had received 74 mm, Vellore with 15 mm, Coimbatore with 17 mm and Kodaikanal with 10 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours across the districts of Tamilnadu state.
More than 50 deaths have been reported from Cuddalore due to the heavy rainfall followed by the flood and the Tamilnadu state Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa announced a sum of Rs 4 lakh to the berieved families as assistance from the Disaster Relief Fund.
