Sasikala Sentenced To Jail By Supreme Court Along with Ilavarasi and Sudhakaran:
The Supreme Court Judges PC Ghose and AK Roy had pronounced the judgement for the Disproportionate Assets DA case on 14th February 2017, Tuesday.
As per the judgement all the four persons involved in the case which includes J Jayalalithaa, Sasikala, Sasikala’s sister-in-law Ilavarasi and Sasikala’s nephew V N Sudhakaran had sentenced four years jail and need to pay the fine of Rs 10 crore.
Since former chief minister J Jayalalithaa died she is left from the verdict and all the other three are sentenced four years jail.
The Supreme Court had also mentioned that VK Sasikala need to serve rest of her jail sentence of 3 years and 6 months as she has already served 6 months in jail.
Since Sasikala Natarajan convicted in Disproportionate assets DA by Supreme Court she can not contest elections for the next 6 years.
