The Puducherry civil supplies department was started on 1964 which works under the Administrative control of secretary which has essential features of a secretariat group and the Directorate of civil supplies and the branch office in 3 regions called karaikal, Mahe, and Yanam.

In this case, the individual must produce a certificate from the concerned authority in writing that the person has no ration card. Proof of residence and surrender/deletion certificate are to be attached along with the ration card application form.

Procedure To Apply New Ration Card:

The applicant shall submit the application for issuance of a ration card along with the deletion certificate issued by the concerned authority of the previous place of residence, to the concerned office, along with the supporting documents.

The applicant will be given an acknowledgement receipt for the application form and the date on which the applicant should collect the Ration Card.

The applicant will have to produce the receipt for collection of the Ration Card.

The office may verify the new address as given in the application and if everything is found to be in order, the new Ration Card or the modified ration card, as the case may be, will be issued to the applicant.

Apply Duplicate Ration Card:

In case a valid ration card is lost or becomes defaced, mutilated, illegible or is otherwise rendered useless for no fault of the holder of the ration card, the cardholder has to get a certificate from the concerned FPS and then submit it in the office for obtaining a duplicate card. The competent authority can issue the duplicate ration card after charging the appropriate fee.

Place Change Update Ration Card:

Persons who are transferred from one place to another. In this case, the Deletion Certificate is required from the concerned authority of the previous place where the person was residing. This document is to be attached along with the ration card application form.

Name Deletion & Add to the Ration Card

In this case also, a deletion certificate is required from the previous place of residence, issued by the District Supplies Office. This document is to be attached along with the Inclusion of Member(s) application form and the ration card.

Documents Required:

Residence proof
Passport size photo
If an applicant is submitting through online the file size should be Max 2MB.

Apply Ration Card- offline:

The applicant can download the application form Download Form option which can be seen at the end of each and every form. You can fill the form offline by saving in the desktop. After filling the form upload it by using the option Upload EForm. You can also attach require documents as mentioned.

Candidates submit your photograph, id proof, address proof then you will get a unique number.

In this number you can track the application status.After getting the status the concerned person should collect the ration card at the office.
