Nada Cyclone Current Storm Status Tamilnadu Helpline Numbers:


The India Meteorological Department IMD had announced that a new cyclone named NADA had been formed which is likely to cross the Tamil Nadu state coast between Vedaranyam and Puducherry on 2nd December 2016, Friday.

The Tamilnadu state School education department director S Kannappan had informed that the Schools located in Chennai, Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Cuddalore, Nagapattinam districts and in Vanur, Marakanam taluks of Vilupuram district will be closed on 1st and 2nd December 2016.

Anna University had also informed about the holidays and postponed all end semester examinations due to heavy rain forecast by the India Meteorological Department IMD and informed that examinations will held from 24th December 2016 onwards instead of 1st December 2016.

The National Disaster Response Force NDRF and State Disaster Response Force SDRF teams are deployed in coastal areas at Nagapattinam and Chennai for the emergency action against the Nada storm.
