Hima Das Become First Indian To Win Gold Medal in Track Event:

Hima Das was born on 9th January 2000 in Nagaon of Assam state in India to the parents of Jomali and Ronjit Das and she is the youngest of six children in the family.

Hima Das is an Indian sprinter who is the 1st Indian track athlete who won medal at any global event.

With the time of 51.46 seconds Hima Das won the gold medal in IAAF World U-20 Championships 2018 women’s 400m which was conducted at Tampere, Finland.

Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi congratulated Hima Das for her best performance which will be an inspiration for the young athletes.
