Diwali 2017 Bonus For Government Employees of Tamilnadu State:
The Tamil Nadu state Chief minister Edappadi K. Palanisami had recently announced about the Diwali/Deepavali 2017 bonus for 3.69 lakh Government employees of Tamilnadu state in India.
Every year for the Diwali festival the Tamilnadu Government will be announcing the bonus for the Government Staffs and this year also the Tamilnadu CM had announced the Diwali 2017 bonus.
About Rs. 489.26 crore will be disbursed as bonus and ex-gratia for the workers and contract labourers of various departments and cooperative workers which also includes the Tangedco and Transport corporations for the Diwali festival which is to be celebrated on 18th October 2017.
The Diwali 2017 bonus with minimum Rs 8,400 up to Rs 16,800 per month for the period 2016-17 had been announced.
The bonus limit had been changed from Rs.10000 to Rs.21,000 for the C and D section employees and monthly salary limit to be increased from Rs.3,500 to Rs.7,000 for bonus calculation.
For the PSUs that had reported profits about 20% Bonus will be issued which includes 8.33% of bonus and 11.67% of ex-gratia and employees of PSUs reported losses will get a bonus of 10%.
About 20% of bonus will be issued to the employees of Tangedco, Transport corporations, Civil Supplies while 10% will be given for Tamil Nadu housing board employees and 8.33% of bonus for Metro Water and Sewerage Board employees.
